GroundWork is proud to work with two of the best minds, most experienced, no bullshit, great people, hard workers in renewables, Brent Scheibel and Dr. Kathy Moore. We partner with these firms to perform mast installations and resource analysis, respectively.
Brent has been in the wind industry since 1982. He joined Zond in 1995 as a prototype testing technician. He continued with the company as Zond was purchased by Enron and then GE where he was promoted to North America’s Anemometry Group Manager. Brent has extensive experience with meteorological installations, wind turbine testing and sodar. He formed windtesting.com in 2001. He has installed over 400 met towers and worked with NRG systems since 1998 including the precursors to the standard 60M XHD. He has participated in multiple NREL studies including turbine testing, power performance verification campaigns and the low-level jet stream project. He calls Tehachapi, California home.
“We love to work with Brent. He is meticulous on a job site. He and his crew are safe, hard working and dedicated. We complement each other. He is happiest in the field; we are happiest working with clients and handling logistics”, says Ann Gaglioti, CEO of GroundWork.
Kathleen E. Moore is a consulting meteorologist who has been doing research on the atmospheric boundary layer for 25 years, and consulting in renewable energy (solar and wind) for the last ten years. She holds a Ph.D. in Atmospheric Science, as well as an M.S. in Plant Pathology and a B.S. in Forest Biology. She has consulted in solar energy resource assessment using both pyranometer and satellite measurements, solar energy forecasting, and solar resource mapping. As a researcher she was responsible for surface energy balance measurements in a wide variety of environments, including solar radiation (both broadband and multispectral rotating shadowband). She received an NSF grant to research the use of multispectral shadowband measurements of the radiation environment of forest canopies. A Certified Consulting Meteorologist and a Certified Forester, Dr. Moore is the owner of Integrated Environmental Data, LLC.
“Kathy’s expertise in the SODAR and met station data analysis has proved to be an integral part of our business. She is a real pleasure to work with and has an art of providing real world solutions from data packets”, says John Rootes of GroundWork.
